The Ugandan Ministry of Health has reported an outbreak of a deadly disease called Ebola in Western Uganda. The Ebola virus is part of a group of negative stranded RNA viruses, known as Filoviridae.
Uganda’s junior minister for health Emmanuel Otala gave a detailed statement on Tuesday during a parliamentary session on this disease. He said that his ministry was in need of about Uganda shs.6 billion (US$3.4 million) to contain the disease. The latest death figure is about five people including the medical personnel on duty.
